The LEHP message is a simple message to spread, however each person we reach who is a candidate for preventable eye disease is another person who will be able to enjoy a better quality of life because of this Lions Sight Awareness Program.
LEHP- Australia's National Office endeavours to provide you will all the material support you need to bring important message 'that having a regular eye examinations is vital if you are over the age of 40' into your community.
LEHP-Australia is a Category B project funded by the Lions and Lioness Clubs of Australia. To continue the funding of the program Voluntary Club participation is calculated at only $4 per member per annum, which entitles you to an extensive range of materials which can be found on the materials page of this site.
Once you have become a participating club we will provide you will everything you need to start conducting a LEHP presentation at your club. You will find the range of brochures and posters which can be displayed at your club or dispersed at community events on the resource page.
They incorporate the main eye diseases namely:- Glaucoma
- Diabetes
- Age Related Macular Degeneration
- along with the main sight saving messages.
To make spreading the LEHP message more effective we have put two short dramatised films together which explains in detail the effects that Diabetes and Glaucoma can have on not only your life, but that of your family.
These films are an excellent way to bring the LEHP message to your club and have been put together on our Information CD which is free to all participating clubs.
